Chinese finished steel prices continued to fall in early March (March 1-10), showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China decreased 89.7 yuan/t or 2.3% from ten days earlier to 3,768.8 yuan/t during this period.
Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 3,954.5 yuan/t in the same period, down 109.2 yuan/t or 2.7% from ten days ago.
Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) stood at 4,075.4 yuan/t, 37.4 yuan/t or 0.9% lower than the preceding session.
Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) fell 56.0 yuan/t or 1.4% to 3,958.3 yuan/t.
Seamless steel tube declined 16.7 yuan/t or 0.4% to 4,677.8 yuan/t.
Prices of angle steel stood at 4,106.0 yuan/t, 28.1 yuan/t or 0.7% lower than the preceding session, data showed.
