Steel products prices in China continued to move up in mid-March (March 11-20), according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China stood at 4,272.6 yuan/t during the period, up 46.4 yuan/t or 1.1% from ten days earlier.
Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5 mm) averaged 4,462.5 yuan/t in the same period, rising 34.9 yuan/t or 0.8% from ten days ago.
Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) increased 102.0 yuan/t or 2.3% from the preceding session to 4,603.8 yuan/t.
Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) increased by 83.5 yuan/t or 1.9% to 4,458.6 yuan/t.
Seamless steel tube climbed 11.7 yuan/t or 0.4% to 5,030.2 yuan/t.
Angle steel increased 38.6 yuan/t or 0.8% to 4,607.2 yuan/t, data showed.
