Vietnam's coal production rebounded notably in October compared with the a month ago to hit a new high in four months.
In October, the country produced 4.02 million tonnes of coal, rising 5% year on year and 11.5% from September, showed data from GSO.
In January-October, Vietnam's coal production totaled 41.68 million tonnes, ticking down 0.1% from the same period last year.
November's production is expected to reach 4.26 million tonnes, down 5.04% on the year but up 5.83% on the month.
The cumulative output in the first 11 months is expected at 45.93 million tonnes, lower than the de facto 46.10 million tonnes in the same period of 2021.
The bulk of coal production in Vietnam is supplied for power generation, cement making and other industrial use.
