Huanghua port, a major port in northern China, shipped out 18.9 million tonnes of coal for power generation in April, a year-on-year surge of 35.9%, local media reported.
The volume exceeded the target set by the port operator and continued to be the best level of same month in history for the fourth consecutive month.
For January to April, Huanghua port completed 73.98 million tonnes of coal shipment, up 26.1% on the year, and beating the target by 6.48 million tonnes.
