Wuhai, in coal-rich Inner Mongolia, produced 42.75 million tonnes of raw coal during January-October, an increase of 6.75% from the same period last year, showed data from local statistical bureau.
The Haibowan district produced 16.40 million tonnes of raw coal, up 16.26% year on year, accounting for 38.36% of the total; Hainan district churned out 15.39 million tonnes, up 30.83% from a year ago and accounting for 36% of the output; production in Wuda district stood at 10.96 million tonnes, a decrease of 22.68% year on year, and the volume accounted for 25.65% of the total, data showed.
The output figures refer to coal enterprises with annual revenue above 20 million yuan ($3.05 million) from their main operations.
