"Corporations' electricity consumption data is a barometer of economic activities," said Zheng Fangpeng, head of the marketing department of Guizhou Electric Power Co., Ltd.
Driven by the good demand and the investment in industrial equipment from inside and outside the province, manufacturing of the advanced equipment industry in Guizhou is going on smoothly, and the electricity consumption has increased steadily entering June, he introduced.
"The industrial chains are linked with each other, so the recovery of demand in the upstream will boost the power consumption of downstream industrial enterprises," Zhang said.
Thanks to stable production of electrolytic aluminum, steel, coal, metallurgy, chemical and other industries, the electricity consumption in Southwestern Guizhou prefecture, Bijie city, Liupanshui city and Southeastern Guizhou prefecture has maintained a positive growth, he pointed out.
