Qinghai Electric Power Company, a branch of the State Grid, had tramsnitted a total 10.23 TWh of clean energy electricity to other provinces as of June 30 this year, jumping 41.8% year on year, local media reported.
Its total outbound power transmission came in at 10.69 TWh, increasing by 32% from the preceding year. It broke the 10-TWh mark for the first time and realized 61% of this year's power transmission target.
So far, Qinghai province has a total 28.01 GW of clean energy capacity hooked up to the grid, accounting for 88% of its total installed capacity, with 16.08 GW of new energy capacity or 50.5% of it.
In the first half of this year, its hydropower outbound transmission reached 6.25 TWh, growing by 108% from the year prior, while transmission of new energy was flat year on year at 3.98 TWh.
