China's most-traded futures of thermal coal, expiring in May, closed at 542 yuan/t on March 4 in daytime trading on Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, down 0.59% or 3.2 yuan/t from a day prior.
The May futures opened higher at 543.2 yuan/t, and wobbled in a range of 541.2 yuan/t to 545.2 yuan/t. Trading volume totaled 46,162 lots, and open interest increased 5,308 lots to 118,741 lots.
