Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei province, is set to make new record in coal-to-electricity conversion projects this year, in a bid to rein in severe air pollution during the winter-heating season.
The city will finish coal-to-electricity conversion projects of more than 114,900 households this year, according to municipal power supply department. Power grid for coal-to-electricity coversion will cover 399 villages. Both hit new records.
It was also learned that Shijiazhuang would add 1,955 distribution transformers, and newly construct or reconstruct 4,351 meters of power line with voltage at and below 10 kV.
