China's industrial added value, an important economic indicator, rose 5.8% from the preceding year and 0.72% from a month ago in September, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 18.
The year-on-year growth was 1.4 percentage points faster than 4.4% increase in August.
Specifically, the added value in mining industry increased by 8.1% from a year ago, accelerating by 4.4 percentage points from August.
Manufacturing sector also posted a faster growth of 5.6% in September compared with 4.3% year-on-year increase in a month ago.
Electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply sectors saw a 5.9% year-on-year growth of 5.9% during in same month, at the same growth speed as in August.
During the first nine months, China's industrial added value grew 5.6% year on year, data showed.
