Ukraine Jan-Jul natural gas production up 1.8% YoY
Natural gas output in Ukraine rose 1.8% year on year to 12.19 billion cubic meters from January to July, data showed.
Daily gas production in the country has been dropping since February, down to 54.7 million cubic meters in July.
Argentina Jun natural gas output notches 11-yr high
Argentina saw natural gas output rise 5.8% year on year to 140 million cubic meters per day in June, reaching the highest in 11 years, showed official data.
The production increase was mainly thanks to development of Vaca Muerta shale gas field, which covers nearly 800 acres.
S Africa to launch 1st LNG port project tender
Transnet SOC Ltd, a large South African rail, port and pipeline company, announced to kick off tender for the first LNG receiving terminal in the country by 2020.
The terminal will be built at Richards Bay to facilitate LNG transport between Durban in eastern part of South Africa and Johannesburg in northeastern part of the country.
China Jul natural gas imports up 7% on yr
China imported 7.89 million tonnes of natural gas in July, up 7% year on year and 5% month on month, showed customs data.
Natural gas imports totaled 54.74 million tonnes in the January-July period, leaping 10.8% from a year ago.
China LNG prices dip in late Jul
Prices of LNG slid 27.1 yuan/t from the previous ten days to an average of 3,477.9 yuan/t in China over July 21-31, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
LPG prices fell 2.6% to 3,429.9 yuan/t in the same period, showed the data.
China Tangshan LNG receiving station phase 3 project to be completed by Oct 2020
Phase 3 project of Tangshan LNG receiving station in northern China's Hebei province is slated to be completed by October of 2020, part of government efforts to further boost gas supply for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Upon completion, Tangshan LNG receiving station is expected to see daily LNG outbound supply rise from 28.4 million cubic meters to 31.6 million cubic meters, ranking first in the country.
