China has seen tight coal supply-demand balance easing and inventories climb at all links. This was mainly attributed to the continuous release of coal production capacity in 2021 and 2022, adjustment of coal import policies, implementation of supply guarantee campaign and related policies. Entering 2023, prices of both domestic and imported thermal coal dropped from high levels, providing favorable basis for the Chinese economy.

How should we interpret the Chinese policies to stabilize the economy after the "Two Sessions"? What impacts of these policies would have on domestic and international coal supply and demand? Where would the coal market head for? What impacts of the "Dual Carbon" strategy would have on energy-related industries, and how they should develop? These are all hot topics require further understanding and deliberation.

This Summit will invite coal industry experts and representatives from up- and down-stream enterprises to discuss and share their insights about the domestic and import thermal coal markets as well as power, cement and chemical industries.
